Slang

Nah

Nah

= No  ( but less strong)

“Yeah” (or spelled “yea”) is slang for yes, so “nah” is slang for no.

Ex: Person #1: “Hey do you want to go see a movie?”
Person #2: “Nah. I’m kind of busy. Maybe some other time.”

Ex:  Person #1:  “Do you want something to eat?”
Person #2:  “Nah.  I already ate.”

Nah– Is a casual way to say “no” to your friends or family.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: It would be rude to say “nah” to your boss or teacher.
