= easy to see/ hear/ taste etc. from others around it

*IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a little different than the noun/ adjective standout. 

Stand out is a phrasal verb.

 

Ex: He “stood out” among his classmates because he was so tall.

Ex:  Don’t be afraid to let your individuality shine and “stand out” among the crowd.
