Fleetwood Mac is a British rock band that formed in 1967.
Actually the only remaining original member is drummer Mick Fleetwood.
Soon after starting they added bassist John McVie.
They also added his wife, keyboardist Christine McVie.
Early 1970s, they had modest success.
However, some band members became tired and decided to leave the band.
Then in 1975 they searched for a new guitarist and found a young, talented, American guitarist, Linsey Buckingham.
He asked if his girlfriend Stevie Nicks could also join the band.
Fleetwood Mac agreed.
In 1975 the released their most famous album “Fleetwood Mac”.
However, they had many problems.
In 1977, the released an album ironically called “Rumours”.
That same year, Christine and John McVie became divorced、and Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham broke up.
However, even with the relationship problems the band stayed together.
Then in 1983, the band decided to take a break and to try solo careers.
Among the band members, Stevie Nicks had the best solo career .
She became one of the most popular female singers in the 1980’s.
In 1997, the band reunited.
In 2006, I went to a Tom Petty concert and Stevie Nicks performed as a surprise special guest.
I was very drunk,
but I remember I was very happy.
I yelled ‘Stevie”.
Probably she didn’t hear me.
But for me it was a great memory.
