Go Bananas

= to act crazy, to lose control of one’s self

*IMPORTANT NOTE:

this is not the same meaning as the fruit “bananas.”

Ex: When I told my girlfriend I cheated on her, she “went bananas” and began hitting me.

Ex:  After winning the game, the crowd “went bananas,” and everyone cheered for the winning team.
