White Lie

White Lie

= a harmless lie, especially one told to avoid hurting someone’s feelings.

Ex: My wife asked me if the dress made her look fat. So, I told a “white lie” and said no.

Ex:  When people ask me “How are you?” I usually say a  “white lie”  like, “I’m Ok.” even if I’m sad or angry.
