= trying to be cool or funny, but ultimately being very uncool or unfunny
(*Similar meaning as the slang “cheesy” = not cool)
Ex: He thought his joke was funny, but I thought it was “corny” and stupid.
Ex: Whenever he talks to girls he always says the same “corny” pick up lines.
